Our 60th Reunion was September 20th, 2025!
Message from the 60th Reunion Committee
Great Valley Senior High School's Class of 1965 held a 60 year class reunion Saturday night, September 20, 2025 at VFW Post 104 in West Chester. Preceded by a Friday night "Meet & Greet" at Baxter's American Grille in Paoli, 62 1965 graduates, plus their spouses or guests (totaling 78 in all both Friday & Saturday!) renewed old friendships from years gone by and spent the evenings discussing old memories, laughing and having a great time. There were even 3 class members who had never been to a class reunion before, the 60th being their first one.
A hearty "Thank You" to all who were able to attend our Reunion Weekend. Alumni traveled from Texas, Iowa, Indiana, North Carolina, Florida, and many states in between (including the Pennsylvania contingent). It was all of you who helped make this weekend the success it was!
Many thanks to those who were on the 60th Reunion Committee for their help in making this weekend happen: Carol Schindler Adams, Suzanne Haas Clark, Sandy Hoyler Griffin, George Gruss, Ken Lawrence, Rich McDonald, Kathy Griffith Moore, Marty Mullen, Carol Helfrich Northeimer, and Wain Schroeder.
At the reunion, Rick Sandora took formal group pictures, one of which which can be seen here.. Candid pictures were taken throughout both evenings and are posted on this website and on FaceBook.
WHEN IS THE NEXT REUNION? Saturday's event wasn't even over when people started asking about when we are going to have our next reunion. Due to age starting to figure in, 10 years from now doesn't seem to be a realistic time frame for our next one. A poll has been posted in our Facebook page in the Features section at https://www.facebook.com/groups/gvhs65/announcements which lists the following choices:
1 - 10 years (2035)
2 - 5 years (2030)
3 - Every year starting ?
4 - GVHS School-wide reunion every year starting ?
5 - every 2 years starting 2027
